I can't get a good look at where the leak is coming from.

I see the brake lines coming from the master cylinder and they look fine, but right under the driver's side is where the leak is dripping and all I see are wet rusty brake lines. Based on the pics/video below what do you think it could be?

Yesterday my friend helped me snake a power wire for my subwoofer through the rubber gromnet in the engine bay. We were pretty careful and I don't think this is related to the brake issue. The brake lines look pretty rusted so I think this is probably a coincidence. I'm going to take it to the shop 1st thing in the morning.

I came across this report while doing some googling

I think this past winter put a beating on my truck. I guess I'm learning the hard way about the importance of getting the under carriage washed. My rear brake lines went bad in December and the stealership fixed it. I wish they would have at least mentioned the problem with the brake lines going bad.

I'm keeping a close eye on my lines as well.

I don't have it bookmarked on this computer but the NHTSA has an investigation open on brake lines on GM full size trucks and SUVs. Hold on to your receipt as you may get reimbursed for your expenses later if they force a recall.

They've had enough complaints now that they are looking into it.

Glad it didn't happen while going fast. The north will rust out the lines
