When they told you it was on the way, did they give you an ETA? Did it come before or after?

Yes, they had VIN View access (most, but not all, dealers pay for this). It will show latest GPS location and an ETA. It showed 10/15 ETA most of the trip, but made it to the rail yard in Flint, MI pretty quickly and was briefly a 10/8 ETA. It went to TBA for a couple days...until a delivery truck was assigned and then it went back to 10/15 and showed up 10/14.

I don’t know about that. My ultimate I just picked up was completed on 10/6 and was shipped a day later.
Agree, my Ultimate was built on 10/13 and shipped a couple of days later, still in transit though but last know location was in Nashville heading north.

I would have the dealer show you the vinview to confirm it's location

My ‘22 Denali XL finally generated a WS this week. Built 5/13 and sitting in Midlothian since 5/19. I’m guessing it will be at dealer soon. My msrp came in at last January’s price, $79800. My new build for a ‘23 Denali XL is currently at 1100 status with MSRP of $86879 with all added features.

Thinking about taking the ‘22 and attempt to trade when ‘23 arrives. Risky business. Anyone have luck with that play recently?

Car values are coming down. Id be worried they won't offer you enough on the trade to make it worth it.

I agree with you. I think I will just need to make a call based on selling price and call it a day. Getting my hopes up on a trade without losing thousands is unlikely.

Mine was built 4/13 and generated the WS two weeks ago. I was hoping we would see it before the end of the month but it’s still at the plant :(

we sold our 22 Z71 to a local dealer for the bottom end of trade in value - 2 months later and it's still sitting there. I'd be hesitant about swapping out in a month or two right now and coming out on the better end financially.

Mine was built two months ago and actually has two window stickers! Didn't make it ship any sooner though, still in Mid.

Last Friday we traded in our '21 Yukon SLT duramax with 21,300 miles on it for $66K...we paid $67K 15 months ago. We also swapped over the OEM 22" gloss black wheels ($3K) from the SLT to the Denali and put the 20" Denali wheels on the SLT at trade. They also gave us price protection and allowed dad's supplier discount on our new '22 Denali, so that came out to $71K with options. I would say we came out on top considering this "slumping market" and a '23 costing $5K more for the same spec.

Took delivery a couple of days ago but have some issues. The truck is covered in etched water spots. Paint, glass, chrome, water spots everywhere. The dealership is asking for the vehicle back to acid wash it in an attempt to remove the spots. Has anyone run into this? Pretty disappointing experience considering the amount of money spent. As an added bonus, the windshield wipers were completely rotted out as well.

Piss Poor dealer prep.

Dealer needs to do PDI, and ensure wiper blades are new, and should have noticed the water spots and had it resolved via detail before they tried to deliver it to you.
Also, as a consumer, its on you to point these things out before signing on the dotted line...(x needs to be fixed before we do this deal).

Good that your dealer is being good to you.
My suggestion to all awaiting delivery from cars which have sat, is to look them over really well before closing.

Agreed, it was not ready for delivery. I'm going to give them the chance to make it right, which it sounds like they will do. Now if they can't remove the spots from the paint, we're going to have a problem.

I'd iron remove it, clay bar it and hit it with an easy spray on/off ceramic sealant/wax. Water spots are most definitely removeable, just takes the right product and time. Shouldn't need any crazy mechanical polishing. It needs to be iron removed and clayed anyway because of the shipping by rail and sitting next to rail yards for long time.
