Mine is supposed to show up at the dealer lot this weekend. Was a 3/28 TPW and sat for about 10 weeks at Midlothian. Will post updates back here with what happens.
Did you ever get a window sticker? Did you notice?

Hi ! What is the significance of the sticker ? I only ask because my tpw was 5/23 and it’s been in around 3800 limbo ever since then until 3 days ago when the sticker was available . Still doesn’t show up on the gm inventory site though . Thanks !

across all brands - the window sticker usually means the vehicle has been completed and is ready for shipping.

The easy example are trucks...they'll be built and then moved to another facility to install accessories like steps, 5th wheel hitch, spray in bed liner, etc....trucks that don't have these additional items have a window sticker the day after they're built whereas a truck with accessories won't have a sticker until everything is completed. GM was having an issue earlier in the year where trucks were being held up for months due to needing a bedliner or 5th wheel prep package installed.

The thinking is that since the Tahoes/Yukons are being built minus some chips that they didn't plan on leaving out, no window sticker as its not "completed".

Yes there are exceptions, but generally this is the case

How did you get a hold of the window sticker? I’ve been using the link on this thread and inputting my vin.

Did you use a different method?

*HUGE UPDATE*
My vehicle is FINALLY on VinView, and it's moved from the Midlothian lot to the Arlington rail yard!
My RST w/ 6.2 L was ordered 10/8/21, built 5/17, sitting in Arlington rail yard lot since.

I’ve been refreshing the below website daily with my vin # after the = sign for the better part of a month and a half . It kept returning an error (basically no sticker) until 3 days ago when the sticker suddenly became available . Many thanks to those that provided the link .

Yes about a day after my dealer said it was moved to the rail yard and was about to get loaded, the WS was generated. About a day after that it showed up on the dealer's website as "In Transit."

Still waiting for it to hit the dealer though. ETA was yesterday, but because of the 4th of July holiday I think there are some delays.

For those of us with our cars sitting in Texas:

Good news if you were concerned about animals setting up their colonies in your vehicle.

The one thing to consider is it is possible, maybe even probable that GM doesn’t really know when they will receive the needed parts to make your vehicle complete. So, what, then, would/should GM tell it’s customers. Because it seems like “we don’t know” is not going to be an acceptable answer…and there is the issue….it sucks, I agree…but clearly they either are missing parts or they have a part they discovered was defective…and are awaiting replacements. My guess is it isn’t just one part, but across all the vehicles, a multitude…and probably way too complex for the normal order info system

I still don’t have one either :( passed the 3 month mark of being built yesterday.

Does yours show up in VinView now for your dealer? I’m sorry if you already answered this…
I’m actually not sure, I haven’t asked them specifically if they are able to vinview. This is our first time ordering a vehicle and stumbling into this forum has been way more informative than my dealer has been in this process.

I really doubt Expedition / Navigator buyers are going through this much nonsense. Ordered since 12-2021 and still waiting. Car built 6-23 but no help from dealer or chat on the VIN #. Can't even get clarification if car is I'm Midlothian or Arlington.

Luckily it doesnt really matter, neither of them mean you're getting it any time soon.

*UNREAL*
Just spoke with my dealership and I'm now at the dreaded 4D00 MP status; waiting on chips. She said she just got off of a call with GM not long ago, and she said GM has shut down 2 of their plants to get the backlog of trucks retrofitted with their missing chips, and then transported to the dealerships. She said they are moving them by production date, to get to the ones that have been sitting the longest. They plan to have all of their backlog complete by October.

Unreal that I was "reassured" time and time again by the Executive Resolutions team that my Yukon was NOT waiting on chips...unreal. I sort of assumed this to be the case, but to be told repeatedly that this was NOT the hold-up and to only now learn it is...I'm fuming. Sales Manager said I could put in an order for the '23 but the price went up another $3,500 last week...

oh man! that is absolutely horrible they have continued to give BS week after week after week to you on this. They need to do something to rectify this situation for all of the folks that have been waiting on these chips for months.
