I took delivery of my '22 Tahoe Z71 6.2L on August 22nd. You can check out my post history to see all the options and time line but it sat in Midlothian for about a month before visiting a hardware store (lol) in Grand Prairie and then back to Arlington for shipping. Was produced on 6/17.
Looks great. I'm jealous. Mine was produced 6/2, and I still don't have it. When did yours get a window sticker?

After watching this recent video of the Midlothian lot I've come to terms my car will arrive when it arrives. That lot is never ending. No need anymore to put so much weight and time on a piece of metal with 4 wheels when I have something right now to get from point A to point B.

You can see them from satelight. Massive lot. 2 miles long, 1 mile wide.

Anyone making a backup order for a 2023 model while still waiting for the 2022 delivery?

I've tried, for over a month but it's not getting picked up.

Anyone know when the order number is established? Is it once order is submitted, or once GM picks up the order?

That video is very depressing. To all of those waiting for their vehicle, sorry just does not say it.

The sad part, my new vehicle (and others) has been sitting for 4 months, and I can assure you I won't receive any discounts

I have a feeling mine is delayed due to the max tow option. GMC chat only tells me that it's waiting on semiconductors. The 2023 Yukon max tow option is on constraint until November according to the chat rep.

A lot of dealers will submit the order and it goes to 1100 status. Other dealers will wait until they get allocation for a rig that matches the configuration you ordered and then submit it. Ask them to clarify how they handle this process.

we didnt have one waiting, but ordered a 23 first of August (Z71 w/luxury package) and it arrived 8/28. as in our first contact with the dealer about ordering a 23 was 8/1. guess they had an open allocation as we were at 2000 the next day. guess just shows that this whole ordering debacle has the possibility of moving quickly. would also agree that this is the exception and not to be expected

this

if their process is to go ahead and enter the order, the order number should be available the day the order was placed. just try and make a friend with someone at the dealership...griping won't get anyone anywhere

I ordered at '23 about 6 weeks ago in identical spec (except color) as the '22 sitting since it was built 4/13. It still hasn't been picked up, most likely due to Duramax constraint. (Denali, diesel, 2nd row bench, sunroof, power side steps).

We have been wanting a diesel Tahoe and had reached out to our local dealership at the beginning of the year but never took it any farther. The beginning of august we got a random call that they had a diesel Tahoe In Transit that they had ordered but with no one’s name on it and asked if we would be interested. We jumped on it and put a deposit. They said that the delivery date was going to be august 17th and that everything had been coming in around 3 days early or 3 days late. Here we are about a month after the date it was going to arrive and it’s still sitting in Midlothian
I believe they said event code 4300. Iv been asking weekly for updates and they still seem to know nothing. I get told that it’s just waiting for it’s ride and should be here any day yet weeks go by. It shows up in inventory/has a window sticker. What’s most likely the deal? Could it be missing parts or is it truly just waiting for the ride to the dealership. We are in Texas so it’s only about 250 miles from our dealership.

If it shows up in inventory and has a WS, it truly is just waiting for transport. Mine has been in midlothian for 3 months, and has no WS and doesn't show up in inventory. I know the lack of transparency is very frustrating!

Mine has shown up as dealer inventory twice now. Once when it moved back to Arlington, and a second time a few weeks ago. Still no Windowsticker, and shows as in Arlington on vinview.

Any idea what that means?

Dealer is calling the transportation company to see if they know anything more

From what others have said if there isnt a WS then it is likely waiting on parts/chips.

My dealer called today- Yukon XL SLT Summit White with Black interior 2nd Row Bench w Duramax Diesel is on the lot. MSRP is $67500, selling at sticker price. Debating whether or not I jump on that one and skip out on my XL Denali on built but sitting at Midlothian. Price difference is $13k between SLT vs Denali. Denali has Sunroof, Captains Chairs, 22” wheels. Sitting at midlothian since 5/13.
