Slide the sleeve up on the pitman arm before putting the removal tool/puller on is about the only "trick" to it.

Well it is in finally. No misfires what so ever. Had to put the original MAF back in becuase the replacement was no good(was told the original failed on a p0102 but it works fine. The replacement was showing the same). Engine is quieter. No fumbling or buckiling anymore. Emmision monitors are all green so I just have to get it smoged and hope it passes so I can get my plates and tags. I do think someone has tinkered with the tranny mechanically or electronically because the shifts are very firm but at 235K it huals ass getting on the freeway. My theory was that 5 and 7 were dumping to much gas and flooding those cylinder and washing them down which would explain the lower pressure in those two and so they would almost never fire. I still have mounds of computer data to go over though. Yeah buddy.

To be honest I'm glad I don't live in California with all the smog stuff u guys go thru... but I did enjoy the weather in San Diego when I worked out the..

get your self the plenum gasket they recommend too. Does not hurt to replace it though the old one is probably still reusable.
