max tire size with z71 17s and 3in lift?

so I'm pretty this has been asked ,but i seem to be lacking in the skill to find it . so my question is what is the biggest tire i can put on my stock z71 17s with a 3in lift (keys & spacers) and was wondering if anyone else has ran this setup .

34" I've had 275/65/20s on my Tahoe before no rub under normal driving and all I had was keys in the front..

So for a 17" rim 33-34" whatever u can find cheaper

I'd just go with a nice set of 285/70/17's. Just a hair und 33" and they fill out the fender wells nicely

Also depending on how worn out you torsion bars are will depend on how much lift it will actually get. My drivers key is maxed out and still have 1/4" between the uca and droop stop. Passenger side is half cranked with leveling keys. I need new bar's.

Thanks for the info guys . Still shopping around ,the problem lies with me being so dam indecisive . i have big plans for the hoe but i got a 240sx i gotta get going first :/

Hunter, didn't I read in another thread that you "only rub when backing up, and at full lock? I'm pretty sure I could squeeze a 37x13.5x24 on 24x12 wheels on my Yukon XL, and all I have is a 3" key and spacer lift. Now, I might only be able to turn from the standard 12:00 position to 11:00 and 1:00 respectively, but they would technically "fit".

I'm not bashing you at all, so please don't get butthurt. I'm pretty sure what the OP was asking was what the biggest tire is that he can run without having any interference or contact under all conditions.

285/75/16's all day, provided you have a "correct" wheel width and backspacing, typically a 16x8 with a slightly positive offset. No binding or rubbing under any movement or cycling of the suspension, at full droop or compression. 295/75's, maybe... 305/70's, maybe.... 33x12.5's, maybe...

Mine with a level and some trimming rubbed in reverse backing up with a 10" wide wheel on 275/65-18's (32x11), and on 285/60-18's (31.5x11.50). Right now I have x9" wheels with 0 offset and clears 275/60-20 (33x11) just fine. Also rubbed with the same 275's on stock 8.5" wheels with 2" spacers basically a 4.25" backspace. So negative and low offset does prove difficult for fitment. Stock wheels you will need to pay attention to width. Mine rubbed in the rear with 285/55-20 on the factory wheels.

Yes you read correct I do scrub in reverse and at full turn but nothing that gets in the way of my every day driving. I tow boats, jet skis, dirt bikes, and occasionally offroad. I will say if you want something that will fit without any rub at all circumstances do not get 35s with just a leveling kit. I personally love mine

I have 295/70/17 and no issues. Previously ran 285/70/17. I think the 295 look a ton better. No rubbing at all. But I would rub if I had any larger of a tire.

Tried to trade a guy for 315/70/17 on steel wheels for my rockstar. After reading online I thought it was doable with the trimming I have already done. No way in hell. Would have ripped fenders off if I tried to drive.

Wheels had a little more offset than mine currently. May have been closer with less offset. Definitely ordering body lift now.

I have a basic leveling kit (ebay keys) on my 04 Suburban LT and just put Z71 springs in the back (no lift.) I'm running 285/75/16s on stock LT wheels (32.8" nominal diameter) and I'll bet I could run 34s if I wanted to. The 33's seem to have plenty of clearance.
