Finally got rid of the hideous Denali tail lights in favor of some G5 Escalade replicas. Appliques and Escalade 3rd brake light will be coming, but right now the look doesn't bother me enough that I'm going to rush out and buy some. I'll just hang out and wait for a good deal.

Looks awesome! Strange question for you though, I see you have truck plates, are you registered as a "commercial vehicle?"

Not intentionally. My bank handled registration and this is what they sent me, so yeah!

Ah, gotcha... just rare to see a "truck" plate on an suv unless it is listed as commercial. Either way, truck looks spectacular! Still need to see it in person some time!

Thanks fellas. I am in love with the way the Denali looks now, the wheels and tail lights made a HUGE difference. I haven't really taken any more pictures though.

But, apart from blacking out the chrome (which I've been putting off forever and will continue doing so), the Denali build is on hold.

I sold my Lexus and meant to use a lot of the money to do some things to the Denali (cam, exhaust, intake, tune, stereo, HID retrofits, etc.), but Craigslist caught me off guard and I have no impulse control. I bought a "great running" 1968 Cadillac Calais. It's waxed bare metal, slammed, and has a new interior. It is totally awesome. The 472 ran great for 25 miles, until it suddenly lost oil pressure on the freeway and spun a rod bearing... So now all my leftover Lexus money is going to dropping a fuel injected 5.3L into the Caddy.

Whoa! That's some lack of control, but nice addition to the family. :)
