On my journey to reach 400 HP, i realized it would be difficult without boost or major internal work. The 285 HP LM7 really came alive above 3000 RPM with the BTR stage 3 cam, but cam swaps alone just dont add 100+ HP. So i decided to go 6.0. Im getting to old to be ripping engines out at 42 years old, and ive said (f..k it send it) too many times on this project. That said, with the fresh rings, remanufactured 243 heads, BTR stage 3, and the ebay shortys.. I should be close to 400

You shooting for 400 wheel or 400 crank?
The truck norris makes more power everywhere than the btr stage 4, except over 5200 and even then you are only getting about 5 more hp.

Richard holdner claims almost 500 crank with my set up and 400 wheel.. I would expect more like 400 crank, but i dont know..lol

You have to realize that he also tests with no water pump, no accessories, and headers at lower than under hood temps, (most videos he says that) with a 100 percent optimal tune. So with your setup specs yes 500 crank is foreseeable, I mean under those criteria, a stock LQ4 makes 400 stock at the crank. He has that video too.

Wheel hp is also not a percentage or set amount of the crank hp either. I wish I had the sheets to show this point. I dynoed my old 4.3 blazer damn near 20 years ago. With the bolt-ons( aftermarket intake, ported heads, colder thermostat, ported half ton exhaust manifolds, custom 2.5 y-pipe into custom 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust through a dynomax race bullet) and tune it made 194hp( i was making factory crank rating) at the wheels with a set of z28 wheels with stock z28 tires. I bolted on my 33 inch Swampers and lost almost 30 hp at the wheels down to 169. Just by a function of extra rotating mass and loss of leverage by increasing tire diameter.
