can you get a more straight on pic of the bump stop. Its the Taniish thing. Nm it gonna involve you removing your tire cause i wen to look on mine and theres not a good angle

Yup, it's next to impossible to get under there, especially cause hybrids have their running boards even lower than non-hybrids. I will however try to squeeze under the resonator to try to get better pics a little later.

I just hope everything stays still back there cause it's gonna be one weird obituary if the rear end craps out. :D

that bumpstop looks like its under pressure... Serge, is there ANY play in the rear suspension? I mean, can you stand on the running board towards the back of the truck and move up and down on it and see if there is any travel? If there isn't, or its still bouncy, your problem is easy. Cut the bumpstops.

lol, you guys are making me do all these things to wind me up and look like a ******* to my neighbors. :)

I stood on the rear bumper and bounced up and down and the max I can get it to go down is an inch or two. :think:

Btw, are those coils supposed to be squashed like that?

man i wish you l lived closer i can cut those rear brakets off in 5 minutes so easy.

how many inches do you have from the bottom of the bumpstop until it hits the bumpstop pad?

I don't want to see what someones frame looks like after you cut the entire bump stop bracket off in 5 minutes!!! I spent a FULL day when I removed them on my Tahoe.

all you do is go along the bottom of the frame rail. You just follow the bottom of the frame 8 inch sawzall blade. Done it like this for last 8 years no issues and tops 10 minutes per side.

i learned from the beginning the cut off wheel just takes to long.

its sitting on the bumpstops just pull the bumpstops out and take it for a quick ride will be much better. You can also cut them down more if you didnt do it at that time

One of the main things that make it hard is when GM welds that bracket on they have the heat and wire speed super high and it warps the metal.

Let's see the hacked up shit you do Norcal....do you reundercoat the area or just throw a little rattle can on there? What about taping everything off so you don't get overspray all over everything?

I am not being cocky. I am just tired of seeing people on here suck his dick 24/7 when he changes the things he recommends from one guys post to another. I just think he is a typical sales man that is full of shit.

I like to do things to my rides that make them better. In my opinion cutting off that bracket like most people would do completely ruins their vehicle. I'd rather spend the time, materials and buy whatever tools needed to do the job the right way instead of using a sawzall with an 8" blade. But, obviously this is my opinion and most of you guys would rather follow the sales man way of doing things.


But, I like I have said.....all of this is my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion right?

red02chevy all good to your opinion. Yes im a sales person but unlike summit or other places i actaully install kits and know what im talking about. Also if you look on youtube both of my trailblazer ss's are in the mid to low 11s and I do a lot of suspension work on them. Street race alot and always test products on my truck. If I was a sales person only I wouldn't do any of that.

Also converters/pull trans and set people up locally I do also. Done a lot of tahoes to make them hook for my street racing guys and they are very happy.

99 percent of the customers are happy with me using a sawzall following the frame and cutting the bracket off and if i quote them its going to be another 2-3 hours to cut the bracket with a 4 inch cut off wheel/smooth it and prep for paint they just say cut it off dont worry about all that.

Im just giving people options here if someone wants to spend the extra money for me to make it look nice no problem but for another 100-150 more in labor they dont.

also im giving the people here easy way of doing it. If they want to spend the time after to smooth it out more power to them.

as for people sucking my dick don't know about all that. If i can help a customer before/after the sale with any questions they have 24/7 then i'd consider that going beyond what anyone offers.


BTW here are some new pics for testing some new tires/suspension mods Im doing to my ride. 17x11 rear with 325 45 17 mt drag radials. Im just waiting for the front 17x5s to come in.
