D -- My understanding is that your local Chevy dealer has a to-the-public price for items, and then it has a reduced price that it uses to sell to garages, etc. (anywhere that buys parts to then install on a customer's car) -- at least that's what I've found. Getting that reduced price may be based on your relationship with your parts guy.

So, I'll often check to see on gmpartsdirect.com to see what factory parts would cost me WITH SHIPPING [actual total cost], and then compare that to my out-the-door price that my parts guy gives me. My parts guy is usually (always?) better, as the shipping appears to be where gmpd makes up its difference. And he's 15 minutes away, so that beats waiting 10 days for something shipped from gmpd anyway.

Unless you find a factory part on eBay for less, I've found that my friendly parts guy is always the lowest.

Yeah that's usually what I do but just wanted to see if anybody on here might have found a cheaper place online. The local Chevrolet here got cut when GM started closing out dealerships several months ago so I'm not sure if they can still order parts from GM. Thanks for the heads up though man!

Thanks,
