Let's see if I have finally succeeded at video.

First is a video of me racing a 4th gen Camaro at the track. This was before exhaust, with just a tune and air intake mods. It seems like the engine was really suffocating at high RPM.

Here is a revving video from right after the new muffler.

Notice how quiet it is at idle, and it doesn't get loud until the pedal is all the way to the floor. Very pleased.

I am about to delete all 3 cats. With the new muffler and a tank of E85, I think I will be much closer to the 14.9 that I want. She really pulls all the way to redline now.

I am thrilled to announce the acquisition of a new thing, as well as the beginning of a new era. The "color" era.

I just bought this: www.amazon.com/dp/B00GXJILXA

It will replace the current rubber elbow, which has an intentional kink that restricts flow.

The current intake came from a GMT800, and it may have had mechanical fans, hence the kink for clearance.

From now on, I will be adding small bits of blue here and there, just to stick with the police theme.

The blue intake elbow is here, and it looks great so far. I just need to re-do the vac line that I currently have punctured into the existing rubber elbow. I suppose I just drill a hole in the aluminum tube and use a grommet or whatever.

Speaking of blue...

After being devastated by discovering that steak n shake is no longer 24 hours, I ended up at IHOP. Parked out front was this:

Must be from Michigan.

As requested, here are a few pics of my 95 Fleetwood Brougham project. This car is meant to be a tow rig and general comfy cruiser.

I pulled the original (strong) engine out and freshened it up a bit. I added the LT4 "hot cam" along with 1.6 rockers and Edelbrock valve springs.

The trans is a built 4L60E that was originally purchased for my Roadmaster wagon. The converter is a stock diameter 2600 from Edge.

This is an old pic from when I was mocking stuff up:

More mocking/bullying:

In the 1990s, this was the tippy-top shelf American car. Notice the flip-down mirrors in the rear. There is also rear HVAC, and a pretty decent rear center console.

Suspension mods include upgraded sway bars, Monroe police shocks all around, OEM police coils in the rear, and OEM SS coils in the front.

I should disclose a bit more about the Fleetwood, since this is a bit of a Tahoe forum.

From 1991-1996, GM produced their last body-on-frame cars. This group of vehicles, built on the B platform, was ultimately a farewell to classic muscle cars. Under the hood starting in 1994 was the second-generation SBC, the 5.7L LT1. Factory specs were 260 horses and 330 torque. This engine was shared exclusively with the Corvette, Camaro, and Firebird of that era. The 2nd gen lasted from 1992 until the C5 Corvette debuted with the LS1 under the hood in 1998.

Included in this group: Chevy Caprice, Chevy Impala SS, Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Fleetwood, and several station wagon variations.

Pictured is my black 95 Brougham that I recently "finished" rebuilding. I also have a red 94 that is going to be a full-blown race car with a bunch of wild aero mods and no interior.

This was my first cam install, which was a big milestone for me.

Well then.

We had an ice storm and a tree branch fell on the Tahoe. I got pretty lucky, the damage was minor.

There is a pretty nice ding in the driver side quarter panel right below the window. Then there's a long scrape that can only be seen from the right angle.

In better news: I just bought two commercial properties, almost by accident. I was looking for a piece of land to put up a pole barn, and stumbled across a deal I couldn't pass up. What's really interesting is that one of these buildings has been modified so that you can drive cars into the basement. I almost peed my pants when I rolled the door up and realized it.

So, coming soon is a new shop build.

Another kill for the books.

I ran into a nardo grey Durango R/T the other day on the interstate, and we had some fun.

Well, I probably had more fun than him. We ran several times in a row, and it wasn't even that close. I'm not sure what the governor is set at in those Durangos, but I was just completely leaving him after a certain point. I hit a full 140 mph in the Tahoe for the first time, and she definitely still had some more left.

We ended up catching a red light together later. The driver and his girl pretended like they didn't notice me. I was waving and stuff and they just kept looking straight forward. I'm getting used to this. People REALLY don't like getting beat by a truck, especially in front of their really shallow girlfriend.

I need to get my cameras installed.
