I got mine on eBay for $130 and don't have any of the problems with hyper flash or the cruise control. DEFINITELY recommend them

I sure hope those are mis-priced.

All some nice leds tails, i have the last ones you posted w/ half park and half brake. I like it and have 0 issues going on about 4 years installed. All leds still light up.

Yeah I definatly did not pay that, 140 is what i payed, that was just for reference. I would say personally I like them all and none I have had on my vehicle's have hyper blink, but I prefer the full led over the half.

An led bulb does not have a connection to ground. The filament in an incandescent bulb draws the circuit back to ground. Essentially turning the circuit off. There is a resistor in the brake switch that connects this. When you mash the brake, power takes the path of least resistance and powers all the lights.

If these trucks did not have a bcm and you changed all the lights to led, it would kill the battery over a period of time.

The front and back turn bulbs are not connected electrically in the switch only through the flasher. Thus when a bulb is out in the back they blink fast, when one is out in the front they just stay on.

Just because a set of led tails has a resistor built in does not mean they will prevent cruise inop. Some are to save the bulbs from a direct 12 volt hit. This also means that they might not have a resistor for the turn signals, which the flasher needs to run correctly. If the truck has 2 brake switches and most all vehicles do all you would need to do is run a jumper wire from the switched side of both switches. That would fix the brake lights and cruise unless the third brake is also led. But for the blinkers you need to wire in a resistor, or an incandescent bulb for each side. Or a dedicated flasher for led turns.

Well I ordered the spyder and hopefully they'll deliver today after the long journey from Cali to the coast of SC. Anyone had issues with water intrusion or are these sealed up pretty well?

The lights arrived! They are stamped "SONAR" made in Taiwan but sold with the impression they are Spyder Auto... probably all the same. Will try to get some install comparison shots posted tomorrow.

Install Sonar LED 00-06 Yukon XL first impressions

First impressions: they look good installed and are bright. I was concerned the might look 'ricey' - is that the term? Where as the factory lights glowed, these throw some light!

Fit/finish: they don't seem to fit as snuggly as factory tails .. the gaps between body and tails are visibly bigger. Has anyone else noticed this? I will mess with that again later but seems I shouldn't see through the gaps on the side.

Notes on install:
you'll need to keep clips from factory tails and put on your new Sonars.. Not sure why those couldn't be included with new lights but oh well. Next, the passenger side harness is in my Yukon XL is not long enough to accommodate the extra distance required for plugging in the new light (about two inches too short). Driver side was fine. So I'll be doing some splicing to extend connector sockets for turn and brake lights.

Brightness: Photo shows factory tail on driver side, new light on passenger side (not properly wired yet) for side by side comparison of 'running light'. The camera exposed for the street light, so this gives you a better idea of the comparison between the red tail lights.

Ran into everything you talked about, including the clips and the gap. Clips were no trouble, tossed the old tails anyway. With the gap, I just centered it. Black truck, shaded area where gap is.. wasn't too worried. Not noticeable unless you're kneeling by it. Nor will it cause a water problem or anything.

I had none of the issues you are describing. Mine were a perfect fit with no additional/noticeable gap either.
