Sigh - I've been sitting at 2030 for the past 3 weeks.
2023 Yukon Denali with ACC and Sunroof Added.
Mine was 2030 for a few weeks then went into accepted. Don't give up yet. Look at my history in this post.

I would just caution anyone who is relying on the GMC "chat" service to not trust those status codes too much, especially before your vehicle gets to "3000" status. In this thread here: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thr...uction-status-code-from-dealer-vs-gmc.136406/ two different people were consistently getting a status of "2030" from the "chat" service but the dealer was telling them it was still at "1100". This also happened to me. So that's at least 3 different people that were told that they were at "2030" when they really were at "1100".

I would say unless you are getting the event code from your dealer (and preferably the Inventory manager themself), you may not really be where you think you are. When I asked my Inventory manager why the "chat" service was saying I was at "2030", he said he didn't know but didn't see how my order could be accepted because he didn't have a diesel allocation yet. When he gets one, he said I will go to "3000". Sure enough, the day after he submitted my order with an allocation I was at "3000".

That's not entirely true. The chat people have the most up to date information. They have info way before the dealer. And usually the dealer will corroborate what the chat people say a week later. When I was at status 2030 the dealer couldn't verify it. 3 weeks later it went to 2000 and the dealer saw it. 2030 is a precursor to 2000. If you look at my progress in this post you will see what I'm talking about.

There is a lot of misinformation about order process and I have been trying to have this post try and help by showing what I'm going thru as it happens without details left out.

It isnt actually false either. I had my 22 tshoe at 3000 in gm chat but it was never picked up by gm to build as a 22. I ended up with a 23 and they were usually behind my dealer info by about 2 weeks on that one. The gm chat bot folks have no real idea what is going on and just randomly toss out info, regardless if its right or wrong.

Yeah something sounds a miss there. You have a order number the info follows it. GM chat....the actual people are ahead of the dealers. Most dealers really don't know what is happening. So that could have been your issue. Or they gave your order away to someone else and restarted you.

You having to transition order years could have thrown a wrench into the mix. Similarly people say go to the biggest dealer possible when those are the ones that cant get vehicles in a timely manner because the back log is so long.

Regardless hopefully my post and timelines are enlightening for some. Im doing my best not to leave details out as has been the case when I was doing my research.

Believe what you want sir. You are not the only one posting your experiences here. I posted mine and dozens others have posted theirs. I am working directly with an inventory manager. This is the guy that actually puts in the orders for a living, not just a typical sales man. I think he knows what he is talking about.

Search through this forum and you will find dozens of examples where the GMC chat people give incorrect information. No, it is not "in advance", it is flat-out wrong.

But again, believe what you want :)

That's the issue. You are relying on the dealership. The Kings of misinformation. GM chat has no reason to give you false or misleading information. A dealership literally makes a living that way.

Most don't give you vinview data. Most don't tell you about price protection on retail sold orders. Most don't tell you how long it will actually take based on their allocations. Some don't even input your order into the system when you place one. It's all a game to them because with actually accurate info many people will walk or not place an order at all.

Just like everyone at 'big' dealers waiting forever because they are 30th in line. Whereas a small dealer can put you 1st.

Do as you want but this is my journey and experience. Hope others can learn from my posts here.

Just adding my personal experience to the mix. When my Yukon build was accepted by GM (4 weeks ago on Friday) that morning the chat said that my order had not officially been accepted by GM. That same evening, my dealer called and informed me that it had been accepted. I immediately checked the chat and it said my order has been accepted by GM and is moving towards the production process.

The 'bot' can be behind. But an advisor should be able to get you up to date information.

FWIW - I had an actual advisor via chat tell me that my "Order had been accepted and was moving toward the production process." It got me excited because when they say that, it usually coincides with event code 2000. Before that advisors and the chat bot all told me "Your order has been submitted by your dealer but not yet accepted by GM." (1100).

I checked three more times after that and got an advisor which told me the 1100 message and the chat bot twice which also told me the 1100 message. A text to my dealer a day later told me I was still at 1100. Advisors are probably the more accurate source of information in the process, but they can give out wrong information too.

Sounds like your dealer hasn't gotten an allocation yet for the particular build that you have (and specific options). Maybe something you want is on constraint? All I know is that you won't move to "3000" until your dealer has an allocation for your specific build and submits it in one of their Tuesday night ordering cycles. What is your dealer telling you?
It's a large volume dealer in Jersey. I originally had a Tahoe Premier 6.2 order out with the largest volume dealer on Long Island, but after 10 months, I started branching out. Matter of fact, this dealer came as a recommendation from someone on this forum. They for certain have the allocation. Dealer is basically stating same thing as GM virtual chat and GM chat advisor

That's why I was replying =p I'm hopeful, but after waiting 12 months on a Tahoe Premier 6.2 that hasn't budged, I'm getting desperate/disappointed.

Update from the dealership this morning is that my Yukon is at the Dallas railyard awaiting shipment. They're also sending me my window sticker today.

What dealer did you order from if you don’t mind me asking. And how do you determine the volume? Just by how many vehicles they add to their fleet a week?

I called about 12 dealers before I made my order in April. Only 3 willing to sell a custom order for MSRP, everyone else was 2.5k to 10k over. For a spot in line to order….

I ended up ordering from McGuire. MSRP + Doc fee.

2nd option was Performance, they seem to get an lot of Yukon allocations. The guy in charge of their orders, Alex, is an awesome guy. Upfront no BS or nonsense I wanted to order from them just because of my experience with him.

However I went into this with the goal of just numbers and no emotion. Performance ended up being just over 1k more for the order due to their higher doc fee and mandatory add-ons which I think were an etch and something else, can’t recall. When I checked in again later with them after waiting some months they had gone to adding market adjustments again. So that crossed them off.

I understand supply and demand realities but to charge over MSRP for something you are ordering and willing to wait for is nuts. I know GM has a crappy order process which pits you against the dealers and their allocations. But they are still making a killing by selling at MSRP.

My TPW is currently 1/2/2023.
