Last I heard, Escalades are leaving Arlington in MY 2027, Cadillac electrification; maybe, maybe not with the last federal election. That departure will make more capacity available for Tahoes and Yukons. So, demand for full sized GM SUVs is quite high, hence the allocation situation as it currently stands. Things may be somewhat better in MY '27.

If they kept track of the series, GMT800, that is still around and resells as a used truck, the numbers would be huge.

Maybe the GMT 800 is popular around you but around here, metro Detroit, southeast Michigan, they are not as common, they rust away. It is a fact of life around here as winter is rough on them.

Salt on roads states are ******* all vehicles. Not just GMT800's. All the GM SUV's and trucks are popular everywhere but the salt eats them up.

For what it is worth, I miss my 2011 Yukon Denali XL. It had 208,000 miles but was still in great condition. A rock chip here and there, but that was it.

I still hated those 2011 headlights though. I had to keep checking to see if they were turned on or not.

My 2023 was just too dam complicated to drive.

Never a problem with anything of consequence. V4/V8 was still working flawlessly when I sold it.

Old guy told me years ago, find one on a lot you like, figure out what you'll pay, make the offer and be prepared to walk. You'll drive it home in an hour or so. Has worked for me several times.

Before Covid, I purchased new GMC's 5 times by calling Houston's largest dealers and getting best below invoice cost out the door and have them email me a quote for such. Then take that around to my local dealers and see who would match. Worked every time.

just amazes me here in Ohio to see beautiful late model trucks with perfect interiors and paint, look underneath and it's a shock to see the rust. And some Japanese pickups are really bad, even worse that GMs.

Well, GM must be currently rolling in the dough. My brother and I placed orders for two 2026 fully loaded High Country Tahoe's in early December. Here we are in mid-February, and they are both still sitting in the order bank waiting to be picked and built. Our dealers GM rep has been no help and can't advise when they will finally be picked and built. Didn't think new car sales were that great at this time. Oh well, I guess we just wait..................... (Rant over LOL)

I waited 8 months to get my Tahoe. I hope that you verified that the evil engine stop-start will not be in your Tahoe. The new EPA has has stated they have stopped paying auto manufacturers to install this gadget. If you do get stuck with it, overrides are available.

Had one in a 1999 new style Silverado. Engine was awesome, 153,000 miles from me, sold it to a neighbor kid and is still going strong at over 200,000 last we talked, rest of the truck demonstrated why you shouldn't buy a first year model if you value reliability. I could have paid cash for a brand new truck with all that went wrong and required replacement/repair post warranty.
