is this a problem free/recommended 2/3 drop kit

The kit contains Belltech 2" drop spindles for front, 3" H&R springs for rear along with the shocks

This is for sale and I new to the tahoe and have heard people complain about shock length, type and mounting locations that provide a bouncy ride when lowered. Im trying to avoid that and drop my tahoe while stiffening up the suspension a bit for smoother cornering. I have an 02 LT Autoride, any issues with the aforementioned kit? Also the 2/3 drop wont get the truck completely level will it? Will that take a 2/4 or a 2/5? Any shock recommendations for the front and rear when I lower the truck by 2/3, 2/4, 2/5? Pulling a trailer will be at a minimum.

I think you'll have to disable the autoride if you lower it. Also, there are shock extenders made to help keep the shocks in the rear at the correct geometry. Should ride pretty descent with just a 2/3 drop though.

It should say on where ever your buyin the kit from whether or not it's for an autoride equipped vehicle or not

You can keep the AR with a 2/3 drop, but you will need to bend or fab op new AR links for the rear.

The resident expert here on all this is MAX.....hopefully he'll bust in and impart some of his guru knowledge......

I have some of the shorter links to trick the Autoride if you want them, free, if that's the kit you go with.
I just did shock relocator kit.

You should be ok with just shock extensions and shorter links for the autoride sensors

To delete the autoride solder some 3.9ohm 25watt resistors in line with the shock harness. I would recommend using shock extensions on any drop for these trucks since you'll gain some travel back and the truck is less prone to bottom out. Bilsteins are the way to go if you want aftermarket shocks for these things, mine ride great with the 5/6 drop or whatever the hell I have.

They come with the belltech kits, but I'm sure I can fabricate some and ship em out to anyone. I just bought a huge rod of threaded grade 8 steel the same diameter of the stock links and cut them down for my truck.

WHAT SIZE all thread is that? Looks like 1/4" NPT...and also what tpi (thread per inch) 20(course) or 28(fine), if it's 1/4" NPT.

3/16" no need for threading them they just pop on, I just bought threaded rod because it was cheap from napa.

Max....I know you have tried just about every combo out there....when you were sportin stock aircraps and a drop.....did you get the AR rod length for the different drop amounts?

Does a 1" shorter AR rod give you 1" less of lift
I'm wonderin how much I could shorten it with the stock suspension to keep it from going ass end up when the compressor cuts on.......

You'll have to adjust them a few times, I wanna say it took me three tries before I nailed it. They were really short with the 5" before I swapped to the bilsteins.

just adding on to this for future referenc
1/4" npt (national pipe tap) threds are 18 tpi
1/4" nc (national course) is 20 tpi
and 1/4" nf (national fine) is 28 tpi
npt (national pipe tap) found on all pipe related fittings (almost never found on bolts or nuts)
