Is there something wrong with the suspension on this 07 Yukon?

I didn't put any hydraulics on it or anything. And I get no warning lights.

I agree with @89Suburban in that the front of the truck is sitting lower than it should be at stock height. A properly suspended truck like yours should have a slight back to front rake, but yours is way too much.

Looks like it's mounted on top

Somehow your driver side spring popped past the spring perch!

Was the truck always like this? Or did something happen recently?
The road did seem bumpier than usual the last few times I drove it. But I haven't driven off any bridges lately to cause it.

If you look closely it appears that maybe the spring broke…. It looks like it broke on the bottom coil. You can see what looks like a coil there on the bottom:

Then overtime the larger diameter coil just worked itself down over the perch.

I’m guessing that also the drivers side front is sitting significantly lower than the passenger side front?

I think you’re in the a new set of front springs at minimum. Check the RPO sticker in your glove box to see what suspension your Yukon SLT has. The. Head over to rockauto or a GM OEM parts supplier and order new springs.

Depending on mileage I’d consider replacing the front struts, coil spring isolators, and strut mounts. All those items could be replaced for the same labor.

As others have pointed out, the spring left its perch. I have to think if it happened with you in it, you would definitely have noticed the sudden drop. And it would have made a pretty loud bang. If it only happened on one side, you would notice an obvious lean. In your picture, it looks like bother side low. If both side are this low, that would mean both sides failed at the same time. Pretty slim chance of that, I would think.

My assumption is, it's been like this since you acquired it. And someone either did an intentional poor mans lowering, or tried to replace the shocks and couldn't get the springs back on and just went with it like that. Honestly, I just don't see how the spring could have expanded and slipped passed the perch. And there doesn't appear to be any damage to the perch.

I vote for "poor mans 5" lowering kit"

Might check the CV boot as well. The rubbing isn't helping it.
