I'm glad I managed to do most of my planned upgrades so soon. The Smoked LED 3rd brake light came in today and I installed it. I don't have any pictures of it yet, though.

I'm not sure about using fishing line to sew that hole .I do these all the time and I use thread to do. Get it from a crafts store, use the type on the teal/greenish spool(thick thread) and get a thick/heavy duty needle, you'll need it to puncture the leather. Try to get thread that matches in color to your seat color because it's going to show .

Thanks for the insight man. I appreciate it. I took a screenshot of what you said. Idk when I'll get around to doing it, but I'll definitely let you know how it works out.

That's cool, any questions just ask. I once tried fishing line on a leather seat, lower center, where your butt goes, I had to wear heavy duty leather gloves! I was pulling the fishing line so tight it was actually starting to cut my hands .I'll try to get a pic of the spool I'm talking about this weekend .

Sounds very painful! The only reason I thought of fishing line is because I wasn't sure if regular thread would hold it since it's in such a high friction area. But I really do appreciate all the tips you've got. I'm new to trying to repair leather. You can get the bottoms on ebay for about $150,but the leather is really only bad in that single spot... If it's fixable I'd much rather go that route.

It'll hold for awhile , tho nothing is forever .It's because people slide in and out of the vehicle, I'm sure you knew that tho.

They def should have it. Let me know .Fyi, don't know if you can tell but the needle is flat , which helps in not elongating (sp ?)The hole that you're pushing through .You don't want that if you can help it.

The drivers side lower cushion on my Denali had a small hole in it and the thread was starting to separate at the side seam. I was gonna try and re thread it and then just decided to replace the whole cushion, like you said they are fairly cheap in eBay. I think my cushion costed a little more But maybe that's because my denalis leather is two tone, tan with off white in the middle. But replacing the whole cushion was way easier than me trying to deal with threads and needles and such. Lol.

Yeah new cushions and leather would be nice, but it's only just that one tear. I figure I'd just be out a few bucks on thread, and if it didn't work, I could still get the cushion later. But if it did work alright... Then I've saved $150 lol.

Previous owner sewed mine and it lasted a couple years. Won't last forever, it's like a bandaid , only temporary. Eventually you'll have to get a new cover. And since my sew job is now coming apart thats on my list now too lol

Actually one part I stitched is holding pretty good. But as you can tell it's time to have it replaced all together.
The rest of my seats are in near perfect condition. I'm just a fatty that works construction and the drivers seat gets abused.:Sumo:

I fix that all the time for dealers. Very common issue with these. So your ass isn't totally to blame.
