Intermittent sound

I recently installed an aftermarket stereo in my 2001 Yukon SLT sometimes when I turn the truck on everything works fine but most of the time whenever I turn the truck on the radio comes on and the sound will not come out I I tried going back to stock radio and it worked for a while and now does the same thing now I have a new aftermarket radio and it's doing the same thing what could this be could there be an amp problem grounding or a bad amp or could it be something else please help

More than likely a bad ground. Check to look for any rust or corrosion at ground otherwise may be a short somewhere my boat did same thing turned out to be a bad ground.
