Odor mysteriously disappeared.
Tranny fluid level was a quart high so maybe that had something to do with it. It's odd that there had been a few months since the shop changed the fluid and the odor didn't show up until recently.

I just had this issue with my '15 Yukon 5.3L. Valve cover gasket driver-side was leaking. Dribbled down to the exhaust manifold. Smoked enough where the HVAC sucked it into the cabin. Had the gasket replaced and no further issue since this past February.
Hi Jvanwanz, my 2016 just started doing this about 2 weeks ago.
I changed the oil myself every 5k and is only 76k miles but is weird that is only when I give the engine a big push.(only if I turn heat on)
But let's say if I'm just idling the truck in a parking lot with the heat on.(nothing).
Any help I'll appreciate it.
How much was the job?
Any pictures from exactly was the leak I can't find nothing. Thank you

My 2016 Yukon 6.2 8l90 has the same thing most of the time driving aggressive, smells like burning rubber but not. I can't find a leak.
Going to make sure my trans fluid is correct, I know it is a little over filled.

Did you find the odor source?
Your oil pressure sounds high for a properly warmed up engine, I would look into that.
Maybe try adding a quarter quart of transmission fluid to your oil to help clean up any gunk hanging around that may be impeding an oil passage.
Didn't find it and it's gone.
Oil pressure settled down with different filter during recent change. Funny how filters seem to affect my pressure but they do.

Yes, filters can affect oil pressure due to differences in restriction from the filter media.
Glad your situation was resolved.
