You think it would work on the throttle body ?

Yes. Cut the 4" coupler to the width that the throttle body is, slip it on the TB and then put the 4 1/2 coupler over that.

got it cut, the 4 inch fits inside the 4 and half and they are about the same size. at worst I would halve to cut them down a bit now but I am at a starting point. the tube volant came with almost works as a MIT itself lol. but I think the volant box is bigger. when my son naps I can go and take another crack at it.

so it still doesn't clear the fan cover. only way it does is with no coupler at all and it just sits over the throttle body and thenit touches it still. so im wondering because it came off a 6.0 maybe there is a little difference. for how cheap it was im not too concerned about it can resell it for what I got it for .

I tried to get it off,and I got worried I would break something and then ruin the stock one incase it didn't work how did you get it off

and how much clearance do you guys have maybe if it touches im ok I just don't see that as part of the design but if it does and works id be ok with it

I had to pry it off a spare one that I have. It doesn't matter--4.8, 5.3 or 6.0--externally they're all the same, so it'll work no matter what size motor it came from.

I just took these. This is mine, 6.0. I first put it on when I had the 4.8 and fit was the same.

ok. volant I had to leave a message again .. ridiculous . maybe in the morning I will try and pry the stock one off again. I get frustrated really fast aswell. lol so I just buttoned the stock system back on and called it a day I have a one year old napping aswell so time is short. but more time in the mornings
