Dang...great info. Wish I had known this 2 years ago. Already bought all the Power Stop parts and GM calipers to do the 2020 disc upgrade, The parts and braded lines are still sitting in garage waiting to be installed.

Installed the PPV calipers a couple weeks ago, followed the guide on page 1. Super happy with them, but unfortunately the OEM 22s did not clear and I had to grab an emergency 1/4” spacer to hold me over for now until I can get new wheels that clear the calipers.

Went with “******* blue” Powdercoating on these!

Today I installed Gen6 Camaro 4 piston Brembos on the rear of my 2018 Yukon Denali. Factory brake lines bolt up. Backing plate needs trimming to clear the calipers.

Now to install the PPV brakes in the front.

My 2018 Yukon Denali with Brembos on all 4.

Installing the bigger brake backing plates was 90% of the front upgrade. The PPV 6 piston calipers bolt up with 1 washer to center the caliper to rotor. Factory brake lines bolt up. I did need 1/4" wheel spacer to clear the factory 22" rims.

Bought a set of V calipers and everything and putting them on my 19 ESV. I can’t wait for it all to come in and slap them on.

One question though. So Alex from legit street cars had to use 6mm wheel spacers on his setup due to having the wheels pictured below. Those are the wheels I have and am wondering if anyone on here has done the big brake upgrade and had to use spacers?

So I got the swap done today on my 19 Escalade ESV. This is what I ordered and the obstacles I ran into.

First off the Calipers I ordered are Escalade V calipers PN 86555781 and 86555782 from Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/157319323209
The pads are Powerstop Z23-2407 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN4VRVH1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
The rotors are R1 Concepts Front Brake Rotors For 2015-2020 Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon, 2016-2019 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra| Blank Disc Brake Rotors| Brakes and Rotors Brakes and Rotors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGT8816Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title. If you are looking for the same rotors on Rockauto, they are called DYNAMIC FRICTION 60447079 https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=11596001&cc=3442504&pt=1896&jsn=728

As for the install the rotor installed as it should and the pads fit the caliper great.

Installing the caliper to the steering knuckle, I had to shave off the lip that sticked out on the spindles off because the lip made contact with the caliper and would not let the bolt holes lines up properly (see pictures before and after). I also had to loosen and shift the bracket for the ABS sensor becuase the bracket hit the caliper.

After girinding it off I was able to bolt on the caliper, but I did not need to space the caliper with any washers. The pads were centered to the rotor. Not sure if there was a change in MY 2019 to the steering knuckles, or if these calipers are different from PN 84793057 and 84793058

Once that I was installed I put on the wheels and was confused as to why the right wheel did not make contact with the caliper, but the left one did. Come to find out with these wheels, if you use aftermarket chrome inserts, they do not protrude out past the inside of the rim like the genuine GM chrome inserts do. Since I really did not want to run a spacer, I used a whizz wheel to grind off the plastic so it is pretty much flush with the wheel, after doing that the wheel clears no problem.Plastic spoke grind off picture.jpeg
Then I bled and went for a test drive, and wow these things are a serious upgrade from the 2 piston brakes it comes with. This is what they look like after the install.Installed without wheel.jpeginstalled with wheel.jpeg
So only reason I went with these calipers is just the fact they had some scratches on them and was a cheaper route than getting the new ones from rockauto, but was guaranteed from the Ebay seller that they are brand new calipers, and I can confirm that they were. Also I like the look of the red on black with the V logo, now maybe I need to supercharge this thing and have a K2XX Escalade V so it looks the part.

Thanks for reading, just thought I would post this since the install was different for me than what I saw on here and on youtube. @jyi786 wonder why being that we both have MY19 ESVs that out installs went so much different?
