Just to keep this kinda brief because there’s a long time line of things replaced and not fixing problem I’ll just start this off with issue and my work around with it. Truck will no crank no start, when I pull the cable on the battery and put it back on fires right up and will have the issue again with in a few day. Code it throws are u0100 loss com with ecm/pcm, and a few other ones I feel are casued by no start like p0700 and a fuel Module request. Anyone get this Strangely consistent problem before feel like it must be a module because I can reset it every time. Thanks in advance hope I posted this in right spot I’m so desperate to fix this thing so unreliable.

I would lean toward an alarm problem?

What have you replaced trying to fix it? I would check all those pesky grounds as well.

I don’t have any anti-theft issues on dash and I have checked on the tech too to make sure it was functioning properly not to say that couldn’t be the problem just not sure where to go from there, I also replace the main ground from the battery to the block to the front of the frame.

I also don’t think resetting the truck disconnecting the battery could be a ground issue you know

Also if this helps anyone when I plug in my scan tool and other peoples it will not connect after I reset the battery and the check engine light will be on takes a little bit to connect like maybe a few hours of driving just seems like the OBD2 plug in a sense is dead

I have been struggling with the exact same problem.

I replaced the BCM and it seems to have helped, however I just posted a new thread yesterday about how my new Tech2 is having trouble connecting to the ECM/BCM intermittently.

I got a new bcm and ecm till no fix for no starts:(
Ok, seems like every time we throw out a possibility of what may or may not be related to the problem you are having, you open up with info about what you have replaced recently or what you replaced trying to fix this problem. Please, in chronological order, give a complete list of ANY work done just before the problem started and any work done after the problem, trying to fix it. These bits and pieces of info make it hard to get a flow of work and problem order. There are many threads here about the importance of good grounds on these rigs. Opening up the "parts cannon" on these rigs can be expensive and incomplete work and parts replacement info can lead to "hair pulling".

These trucks run on a local area network (LAN) for comms between the modules, and as such it's vulnerable to interference due to bad shielding, weak terminal connections, etc. There are methods for troubleshooting the LAN comms, so that's where I'd start.

We first got the truck in March, three days later truck would not start all lights on the dash showing up but no cranking check voltage had power, tried to use the key fob would only unlock doors no trunk would work no remote start, car had an accident from previous owner front end right side. First thing I replaced was battery ground with original replacement. Removing bumper realize that someone had crimped the secondary part of the ground on the sub frame one front end was fixed.

Didn’t solve the issue. Got a new ECM flash from flash masters did not fix the issue. Just recently replaced body control module also flash by the same company didn’t fix issue. Before I bought vehicle as well the car dealership admitted to me that they could not keep this thing going past a few days after paperwork was finalized, they’re are the ones that replace the battery and the alternator.

Based off of what you have said, pics supplied and that it was wrecked, I would start and concentrate on what @Geotrash has said. In the future, never be afraid of too much info supplied. The info about a wreck is likely the key here and we can also see the rust likely related to salt on roads where this rig lived before. Corrosion can be a PITA to these rigs.

As long as in chronological order and what was replaced or done and why it was done and test results and findings, never will you hear anyone here complain about info overload.

What is really bad is when the spelling leads to confusion and run on sentences where punctuation could clear those sentence meanings up. I have seen a 4 line paragraph here that was all one sentence and was very hard to decipher. Oh, by the way, old guys like me never like to be called DUDE! ;)

Except, I think, @07Burb and @Tonyrodz, better known as "Triple T', for some reason. Weird that way. I think it has to do with where they live.

Sale it and drive to an area of the country where the vehicles aren't rusty (TX, etc) and buy another. Life is too short.
