I don't disagree with Whiteout's suggestion of OEM ballasts, but you've already gone through a bunch, including Hella, which are OEM on some cars, I believe.

So, I'm going to agree with the wiring re-do. Start from scratch. Get a $15 harness and use it. Direct connect to battery should greatly reduce any problems caused by power fluctuations in your system. If you haven't yet, check your alternator. Not sure what the dual-battery setup does to it, but if your voltage goes up down with revs you might need to isolate your systems better.

Don't know what else to tell you. Good luck.

Good call on the "direct to battery" DenaliAK. Never trust stock wiring when it comes to HID, our systems and wires weren't meant for HID powerups, and can cause problems. Hella is OEM, but not all Hella products are Legit!!! And pretty sure Hella doesn't make digital ballasts either, could be wrong so don't hold me to that. Alot of knockoffs out there. Voltage fluctuations can cause problems, but with a proper relay kit, and FUSES!!!! You shouldn't have any problems cause the fuses should blow if power does get to high. START FROM SCRATCH!!!! GO WITH TRUE OEM BALLAST that came out of a car, ie..chevy,GM,cadillac, lexus, acura, bmw, mercedes, etc, etc...

played with it befor i read the new post u guys made i changed the relays because my relays were not letting enough voltage to fire the ballests ..but as of rit now i changed the relays to bosh relays because i heard that my relays were cheap junk ones ..i didnt no that when i got them bu what ever and whiteout im drffently going to do the idea of the capactior and silicone never thought about thats is a great idea ..

Here is some info from another post off another site, but will explain why you should use a capacitor, and how to wire it up. If you wire the capacitor the wrong way, it will pop!! But they are cheap so no biggie. I keep extras in my car just incase. Is a nice preventive device, and diffenently helps with flickering. Now I never had a problem with flickering, but i really don't now that I use these capacitors on each relay.

In my case The blue wire is terminal 86 and the black wire is terminal 85 on the relay socket. To be sure you can use a volt meter to verify the polarity of terminals 85 and 86 on the relay socket. Wire colors may vary

I just place the capacitor leads into the appropriate relay terminal on the socket and push the relay into the socket pinching the capacitor leads into place. To verify everything is working turned on headlights and started vehicle to check for flickering issues. Once it was verified I taped the capacitor up to the relay socket and closed everything up. Here is a picture of the capacitor with the relay and socket.

thats great, but our vehicles don't do PWM dimming. They are not running the headlight bulb as a DRL.

it stops the headlight from turning off for a 1/2 second during cranking.

Umm, I'm feeling particularly dumb today and having a hard time determining where exactly you put the capacitor in the wiring. I appreciate the pics, Whiteout, but that looks different then my wiring setup so I'm just a bit at a loss and not an electrician. Where does it fit in? Mine are wired via relay harness direct to battery.

You put the capacitor inside the relay itself, between it and the connector. I know EAGLE knows more then me about this stuff, but my headlights don't delay since putting this capacitor on.

It only stopped my flickering from happening at startup. So... not at all trying to misinform anybody, or go against EAGLE, and have deleted PMW, DRL, posting i had written up from another post. But by putting in the capacitor it will stop flickering.

It didn't add a delay at startup either for me. If my lights are on during startup, they don't flicker, they don't turn off, they don't delay, they just stay lit, no flickering, just constant Brightness from when they turn on, to when turned off. No matter what now. Again, I just had a flickering problem at startup with lights on, turning on vehicle. I researched thru HIDPLANET.COM, and talked to HID people on many sites, and they all told me to do this mod. Sorry for writting about the PWM,DRL, cause EAGLE is right, it doesn't apply to our vehicles. But by adding capacitor between relay, it fixed my flickering problem.

Don't know if anybody else may have flickering at startup, like I did. But this capacitor will stop that. My HID lights didn't flicker any other time, but when lights would be on while starting up vehicle. So by adding this capacitor, from what I read, and what it did do for my headlights, it stopped flickering. It should also stop flickering throughout cycle of headlights being on also, but again, I did not have that problem, and diffenently don't know.

Put the capacitor inside the connection between the relay and the connection.
This worked for me, may not work for you, but reading up on it, it should. Again, I read on different HID sites and forums regarding this issue I had, and how to resolve problem. Hope it helps you guys too. If not, your out like $2.00 for the capacitor. But again, Many HID "supposed" experts informed me what to do and use to fix the problem

Here is some better pics of how to install-

Cool, thanks for the clarification Whiteout.

I don't really have any issues with flickering, but figure it can't hurt as a preventative thing. Matsu's are not cheap ballasts, so I kind of want to protect them....lol.
