My bushings are shot, perfect time to upgrade!

Anyone got one laying around?

Thicker the better? Any special one's for a lowered Hoe?

I went with BellTech when I upgraded mine (added rear when I upgraded the front). Generally, "balance" front to rear is more important than "thicker". However, most aftermarket sways are larger diameter than factory.

The only sway bar difference among factory, lowered, and lifted heights is the end-link length (lowered = shorter).

If you're looking to tighten up your handling, I'd personally recommend upgrading your bushings from rubber to poly-graphite. Just make sure you lube them well when installing... better yet, get the kind that has zerk fittings and you can re-lube them periodically to reduce the squeaking.

My rear bell tech sway bar came with bushings but were pancake style.

Saying bell tech one from the factory doesnt come with poly bushings with a grease fitting?

Yes, the Bell Tech sway comes with red poly bushings for the bracket point as well as the end-links...however, when I purchased mine, there were no zerk fittings for the bracket bushings - no lube is needed on the endlinks (just a cushion rather than torsional twist).

My my poly vs. rubber comment was more directed toward the other front-end bushings (control arms in particular).

Control arms are a *****, bushings need to be pressed in. Going to wait when I really need them and have the time to give them full attention. My goal is buy the kit for the front end and convert. My idea is fix when it is broke. Been working pretty well so far on the budget I'm on thru the years.

I know my orignal bushings on my sway bar did have zerk fittings, bell tech one with?

I just clicked the link, I don't need the rear since I retro-fitted one from a 2 door.

I need the front.

Norcal shoot me some numbers, you lower vehicles. I trust ya, need it to clear!

Have you looked to see if Dorman makes a replacement?

They do make a replacement, but I am looking for a replacement that exceeds OEM Specs and enhances the performance of the truck.

I like to upgrade when stuff breaks, fails, or no longer can do its appionted job.

Hey it won't let me respond. I did find it less but I could care less. Rather give you the extra coin. Your GREAT asset to the forums!

Can you have them send me an extra Bell-tech sticker? I have from a 2-dr that I retro-fitted to my 4 door. and the kit was missing the sticker.

PP sent! thanks

Hey I got 2 weeks ago! Thanks! Last week I installed it WHAT a PITA, I have a steering stabilizer that was in the away along with the rest of the suspension.

Ruined my inner tie rod ends becuase I NEEDED to use a bj fork to get em out and rip the boots. So now another day, new inner and outter tie rod ends as well as adj sleeves.

Honestly took a friend and I some time even with a lift. Wish I did the sway bar along time ago before I did a few other mods.

Bars didn't really seem much a difference. I wish we had a scale at work. Steering seems a little tighter up front. I am suspecting it is from the Links, with that being said I WOULD NEVER purchase NAPA POLY links ever again. Seems like they gave out in a year.

FYI, I would put a front sway bar at the end of the burner list, and if you already have a steering stabilizer that ALREADY WELDED IN I would pass!

I'll post pics at the later end of the week.
