at first glance, not much difference, but the inside thickness is much greater on the centrix

what year is your hoe, I plan on changing my brakes soon. I've done it to my civic, but never to my tahoe 07, Did you need any special tool to push in the piston?

No, just a c-clamp and the old pads.

Just did my brakes on my Hoe too!!!

Like said above, nothing special, just a c-clamp

I took my calipers off and painted them with caliper paint too

SW CT,
That cracked "cover" is the back of your stock pad. Due to corrosion it must have seperated from the pad and same corrosion held it to the 2 pistons...take it off and then install new pads.

is there any value to the rotors, are they scrap metal or do i just throw them in the can. my 07 tahoe brakes so smoothly now, even in the rain today, braking was great. yes the c clamp, a hammer, and a couple of various size wrenches, is all that is needed and of course advise from the site and watching a youtube video on changing brakes
