How to change brake fluid?

6 quarts of fluid is just nuts to me. Especially since I had to do an oil change prior that took 4.

I hope that the 4 quart change wasn't on your V8; these take about 6 quarts with the filter change, as long as you got most of the old oil out.

Unfortunately the Tech II is only good for up to around 2009(Can vary by model vehicle as to cutoff year) IIRC after that a different protocol scanner is required.

It'll do the 2013 GMT900s, not sure about the 2014s, nobody who has one ever reported back.

My son had a 2003 Nissan Sentra 1.8L that took just under 3 quarts with the filter change. I was shocked the first time we bought stuff to change the oil.

But remember that the "VCI Card"? in the Tech II must have the update on it otherwise "you" could be limited to year range. So you gotta be careful when buying a clone or even the real deal to check to see which version update is on it.

I know but they still use the same computers and such as the 2013s. I've been trying to check for years without success.

FYI - For anyone looking for Tech 2 purchase and worried about getting suckered into a tool with old software...

The Tech 2 I got from Chinacardiags.com did ship with the latest software available. Version 33.004. Their website says GM through 2014, but I can't confirm that part. 2013, for sure.
