I recently installed new headlights on my '09 Denali..

In addition, I installed Hi & Lo HID Kits... However, now when I flash my HI Beam light, it takes a while to warm up, probably something like 10-15 secs.. and the main problem is that I cannot "flash" cars...

The LO beam is fine.

Do any of you guys who have HIDs installed on high beam having this problem??

sadly, I believe that may be an issue on highbeams, flashing cars is hard with HIDs in HI.

You get a decent quality kit? Could be a quality issue or a power supply issue.

I am sure I got a decent HiD kit... quality am sure.. I am thinking it is a power supply issue as well, but still it takes a really long time to ignite...

I will try taking a video of the whole thing and post it..

That's why most people don't put HIDs in for the high beams. Poor quality or good quality, they all take a little time to warm up.

I just want to know if there are members here who have HIDs installed and they do not face what am facing. Or is this a normal scenario?!

Yukons Hi/low share the same bulb. It's not possible for HID lows and halogen highs

Its gonna take a while for them to warm up like others have said. If your gonna use them alot like that I would look at getting the 100watt halogens. Thats what I have and it works great!

Am now planning on adding a booster type of device to "boost" power to the HI HIDs..

hopefully that would work... unless I find a better easier solution...

You need a Bi-xenon kit, check out vvme.com, it has one HID filament and the high beam part is a solenoid that tilts the bulb down to shoot light up, giving you instant bright HID light to flash scumbags that dont know better.

this booster whatever it is you mention will do nothing for you. Check this out so you can see how it works.
