HELP 01 yukon tranny problems

bought a 2001 yukon yesterday, everything on the truck is great except the trans, hesitates to shift 2-3 at all times and 3-4 under wot, when cruising in OD it randomly gets a nasty shudder and loses all power, anyone have any ideas? please help

What kind of miles are on the rig?
it could be time for the electronic parts tune up. 1-2 shift solenoid, 2-3 solenoid, MAP sensor, there's one more I'm forgetting. if it has over 100k on it drop the pan and check the magnet for debris. a few flakes will be common with wear. But if it's caked on there and the filter looks like crap too. I would just toss a filter in it and put come clean ATF in and start saving for a trans.

Engine is 177, trans is 60k :/ im gonna rip into it tonight and change all the solenoids with new fluid and filter and hope for the best, really dont have the money for another tranny. blew most of my money on tires and exhaust haha. thanks for the help!

Didnt even get a chance to get it to the garage, made it about 2 miles from my house, i believe its locked in 2d, wont do more than 20 and it stops accelerating after 4000rpm, motor just revs. I have to come to a complete stop and take off again. My mechanic thinks its something electrical. I really want to love this thing but its making it awful hard :/
