So I'm doing the hd Conversion on my tahoe I cut the brackets and welded them 1.5 inches down but my bumper won't reach the bracket holes to bolt it up

Reach which brackets? The rail end brackets or the side brackets?

The holes on the bumper won't reach the holes on the brackets I cut off and re welded 1.5 inches down

Is the bumper hitting the radiator core support? I had to cut mine to make it fit.

Yeah that's were it's hitting the metal piece under the lights...I had to remove the support in between the bumper to make it fit but my bumper isn't as sturdy

What I would do is not modify the bumper I cut into the radiator support.

If I remember correctly I had to cut roughly 1.5 inches in and about 6 inches across on both ends with a cut off wheel, and tried to taper it to make it look factory then just took some trim black spray paint to cover up the bare aluminum.

I haven't been able to line them up either if you adjust them outward the light beams go too much to the sides of the streets and not the road I tried it.

Nice truck my man real pretty I'm trying to do the same thing to my 01 tahoe I just got my roll pan and I'm waiting for my ss bumper to come now the silverado grille you have on your truck what year is it so I don't make the mistake and buy the wrong grill
