So im not sure what to do. I LOVE my caddy and Its almost exactly modded the way I want minus a few lil things...

Its lowered... white 22s... cai... remote start... after market headlight housings with HIDS and HIDS in the fogs... carbon fiber wrapped all of the wood... perfect leather...etc etc etc...140k and runs like a champ.

Ive been approached by a guy that wants it although he has not made an actual monetary offer yet... however I want to have my mind set right when he does.

I looked up book value and the 02 is not worth that much... do I actually offer it for sale for what KBB says EXCELLENT condition is?

(Ill get another esky, thats not the issue)

Or do i make the price higher to be something that makes it more worth it to me and something for him to think about...?

I'd definitely be asking more than that for it. Make it worth your while. Great looking ride btw.

Keep it. Why sell it if you have it setup the way you want it. Nice caddy btw. I'm about to have my wheels powder coated pearl white! Took me awhile to find it.

If you WANT (as in NEED) to sell it, then you can't expect more or much more than book value. De-mod it to lessen the loss. If you WOULD sell it for the right price, then just determine what that price is and the book value is only a starting point. But you can't expect everyone to agree with you on the price. You never know- there may be someone that wants an Esky exactly- or nearly-like yours and would pay the extra to have the instant gratification. My general starting point is to add book value and 50% of the cost of mods and see how that sounds.

Damn that is one great looking Esky. I'd keep it, hard to come by clean NBS trucks and one with miles like that. Everything has a price but you also have to be happy and not regretting you sold it for too low. Either way good luck with it clean looking ride.

I've always said everything is for sale for the right price. You know what you have in it, feel the guy out, if he's going to offer you what you think it's worth, I'd probably consider it. On the flip side, if it's modded like you like, and he try's to low ball you, I'd politely tell him no thank you. At the end of the day, it's your call.

I've never heard someone share a story about a vehicle they loved and sold and were glad they sold it. Instead, I hear this all the time, "I loved that vehicle, and wish I had never sold it". I have a few of those stories myself.

All comments are spot on. Everything is for sale for the right price, but guys usually end up regretting selling that one they loved. Also having it kitted out exactly how you like it and in good condition is hard to find.

Furthermore, when thinking about the price you could get for it, what would you want to replace it with and would be it worth the expense of finding something else to go with? I have the same feeling about mine. So much life, I know the odd characteristics of it and pretty much have it how I want it. General maintenance is what I am focusing mostly on now. There is always something to do.

Good luck.

I knew posting amongst lovers of these vehicles would help. A lil back story...

On the 25th I was involved in a bad wreck in my prode and joy camaro. 602rwhp boosted lt1 that has been my baby and growing with me for the past 13 years.

The loss of the car has been messing with my head and my feelings of just selling everything (i have a bunch of vehicles) and not being personally attached to anything is something that has been haunting me.

Many tell me its a "fog" Im in and the fact that Im house ridden with a broken hip has me down about it all the time...

Thats a big part of it... I guess losing the car that was my "Ill never get rid of this car" car, has made me just want a new start.

No I dont NEED to sell the caddy... and I told him I need it for now while my hip is broken as Its the easiest and most comfortable thing for me to get in and out of... so i have some time to not be "impulsive."

Thanku all.

If it's me I have a number in my head for anything that I have if someone was to approach me and want to buy. That number in my head is ALWAYS higher (and in some cases ridiculously high so there's no chance it'll just be bought on a whim LOL) than the number I'd actually list it at if I was actually trying to sell it and "needed" to sell it. My thought is this person approached ME about buying something that isn't on the market so no need to give a deal or even worry about what KBB says it's "worth". So ask yourself if you care if it's sold or not. If you still love the Caddy then just keep it and tell him you're not interested in selling. If you're not sure then shoot him a price you feel good about regardless of what KBB says. If he says no then who cares. If he jumps at it then you've made out well on it.

Looks like you cought a pole? Look at the positives. Your alive. The car can be replaced or rebuilt. That's the fun of cars. Looks like you have the car in your drive way. Did you do this at the track?

No... driving to cars and coffee event... something broke or blew... put me suddenly sideways... did what i could do avoid another car on the road... stuffed it in the guiderail twice putting me in a spin that sent me across 2 lanes and into the woods... stopped on a big tree ans concrete drainage thingy...

Cant be rebuilt... ill salvage the powertrain... but a piece of me is gone.

I know how you feel. I lost my first truck that I built from nothing cause I didn't have the money back then. One it was written off it was like a piece of me was gone. Haven't liked any other vehicle till my taho. Took 15 years but the void is filled again. Hope for a long time.
You will get yours going again. Just need a good donor.

@#1taho , I know the feeling. I wrecked my first truck a few years ago and I loved that truck. It was the first truck I bought with my own money after saving up for it and I modded the heck out of it. Lol. And then it got totalled. I always look back and think what life would be like had I not totalled my truck. But I love where I am now with my Denali. @popo8 , I'd say keep it if it has the mods you already want and you like it.

Throw that at him and see what he says IMO If he wants the vehicle bad enough that price won't be bad to him considering it's a pretty clean ride. The worst he can say is no and if he tries to negotiate too far away from that just say no and "walk away" from the deal :)
