Aren't Eibachs hollow? Do you know the diameter and, if hollow, the tube thickness? There's SO much inconsistent info spread around the internet and when I do find specs, they're for GMT800 or '400.
dont know...front bar prob weighs 40lbs+ so i doubt it. rear bar i havent touched since i put it on, dont remember how heavy it was

All that girth and no grip pic. I'm....saddened.

Nice looking bars tho, for realz. I may decide to go the route when I finally get around to lowering the ol pig. Thanks for the in-depth analysis as always. Hopefully your research will save me a few bucks. We all know I could use it.

There were only two sets left on Amazon when I ordered these, so now one at $557.10. Stiffer bars are even more needed at a higher height so there's no reason to wait. You'll only need to replace the end links when you lower it. Since you're filthy rich and will be getting them, anyway, you might as well just get 'em now while they're available. You won't even feel that $600.

Here's the links you'll need to add to your drop parts. You'll need two of these: https://a.co/d/bTuWgnu

Sadly, I've splurged on gear to give you better views. I'm going to be recovering from that for a bit. My second (camera) body/lens isn't here yet...you'll be thankful.

I did buy the endlinks though. Thank you for that.

Also, Christmas IS just around the corner. I'm a size 35/33mm. Red is fine:)

What does an idiot southerner do with brand new, overpriced pieces of bent and powdercoated round stock? He hangs 'em like a 1700s Louisiana plantation owner and beats 'em with a pair of Channellocks to play the hook from "Carol Of The Bells" since he's a festive kind of ásshole, chipping the powdercoating all to hell.
So he now has some extra sanding to do. That labor far overshadowed the fun of the aforementioned ding-donging.

Scuffed with 220 grit:

There, I fixed it:

I'll compare and document the weights of these versus the stock ones when I swap them. I also ordered new end link and bushing kits for the front. The current ones are only ~30K miles old and look to be just fine. But, they're only $12 for a pair, so why not have everything fresh?
cant wait to see that bigblack gay bar installed in your rear end

Same here! I'm gonna slip it in sideways. I'm sure it'll take some shoving and I'll get hurt at least once. Butt, I'll get it in there. There's no doubt that I'll be experiencing great pleasure between the two bíg black bars squeezed in my front and rear.

So these don’t have the Hellwig’s adjustment on the rear bar. That’s a difference. My Hellwig rear has 3 holes :win: So, you can adjust the stiffness..:p of the rear.. mine are on maximum hardness of course..

ETA: the Hellwigs also come with replacement end links.. front and rear iirc.. definitely rears. Not that this would justify a large cost difference..

ETA 2: both front and rear..
