Dont know about you, but my Fob is the biggest thing on my key ring and is often the main handle or "thing" I hold on to while carrying my keys.
With that said, I've lost grip of my keys more than Id like to admit; I refuse to attribute this to getting older...must be dry hands:)
Either way, I've decided to grip-tape my key fob and take pictures along the way in a sort of tutorial...you know, because I've done it once and Im now the authority of all things grip tape..:favorites37: jk

Lets start

First lets crack open the fob and clean it with some isopropyl alcohol. Set aside the internals..

Break out the painters tape and apply it to where you want the grip tape to eventually be.
Use your fingernail to press in the contours of the fob.
Carefully cut out the sections with a sharp blade..

If you dont already have it, get some grip tape. Regular skate board tape or rubber anti slip tape for bathtubs..
Dislodge your templates from your fob and place them on the back side of your preferred grip tape..

Uh

My keys spend more time in my pocket than in my hand. How hard does that grip tape make it to put in/out of pants pocket?

Instead of gritty skateboard tape, get the rubberize stuff.

I found that when using the gritty stuff on pistol grips when carrying concealed that it really eats up clothing and leaves abrasion marks on anything like furniture, car interior, upholstery, etc that it might touch.

The rubberized type grip tape doesn't.

Have you gotten to the stage in life that my grandpa talked about that a guy reaches where a date out goes from ending with a “stick-up” to ending with a “hold-up”?
Nah, it’s more when Im on a construction site, it’s winter, and I have 3 or 4 layers on. Sometimes due to the numb hands and with all the clothes in the way, it’s hard to get a “grip”. ;)

Lol... I remember my Grandfather telling me one time that it was so cold out that when he went to take a leak outside he had to stick his thumb up his butt and holler SNAKE! just to "get a grip"... lmao... at the time I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever heard.

My grandpa told me one time that when was young if he had to take a leak on the way home from a date he had to stick it under a wheel spoke so he didn’t piss on his face but when he got older he had to rest it on top of it so he didn’t piss on his shoes.
