So, the good news is that my order (made at the dealer on 12/27) was built last week. I got the VIN number and everything (still no delivery date though).

The bad news is not only did they delete the heated steering wheel (which i knew about) but they also deleted the parking sensors (which i didn't know about until i downloaded the window sticker):

Does "Includes Later Retrofit" mean that they will install the heated wheel and parking sensors for free when available? I could deal with no heated hands, but it would be nice to have parking sensors on such a large square vehicle.

My understanding is the "later retrofit" means the dealer will install the chips for those features when they become available free of charge. I'm in the same boat as you, order in December, TPW 4/11 and not feeling great about spending $68k plus tax on a vehicle that's missing things...hopefully they take care of it sooner rather than later.

Heck i am over $72k for this thing before tax... unfortunately it seems like a LOT of people will be in line for heated wheels and parking sensors when they are finally available...

Still no movement. It's been stuck in a storage lit in Arlington for 2 weeks. How long does it usually take from end of production to when it ships from the factory?

I placed my order back in November. Finally got fed up and canceled it. Partly because they are hardly building any Premiere's, partly because of G.M. pulling this kind of stunt just to get vehicles rolling out the door, but mostly from the lack of responsiveness of the dealership. They took my deposit, but won't return my phone calls or emails, refuse to tell me about their allocation status, or how many sold orders are in front of me. I can't make up my mind if I want to place the order through a different dealer, or just wait until they actually start producing them in decent numbers again.

My dealer doesn’t tell me anything but I’ve found out through GM I have a TPW of 3/28 lol. It’s weird. The person I spoke to at GM actually said it’s frustrating that people tell them their dealer isn’t giving them info because a lot of people end up cancelling their orders when GM has accepted it. But I guess the dealers don’t care because I haven’t heard of a single one having a hard time selling these before they come in.

Mine was in storage for 2 months. YMMV.
that sucks.

Every time I ask the dealer what the lead time is they say 12 weeks.

How long till my order is accepted = 12 weeks
How long until it is built = 12 weeks
How long until it ships = 12 weeks

effing annoying.

Called chevy today (instead of using the chat) and I (surprisingly) connected with a very nice woman who told me that it is now on a train headed for the rail yard in Walkerton, NC and is scheduled to arrive there on 3/25. She was wonderful.

My dealer emailed me about 20 mins later and told me "they have no new information". Worthless.

When I called Chevy the guy who answered as incredibly helpful. He said that they get info before the dealers.....but he did admit he hears from customers that a lot of dealers do not provide any info....which actually causes people to cancel orders when their order has already been accepted.

My salesman won't tell me anything - like he legit still hasn't told me Chevy accepted my order. Meanwhile ive already found out from Chevy I have a TPW.

Finally my salesman texted today and said my order got picked up for production but no TPW yet. When I checked with the Chevy chat they said the same thing. So I asked what event code am I at. She said we don’t give that information out because it’s not always correct and it’s best you keep in touch with the dealership. Funny because last week they gave me an event code 1100‍♀️

@ChemEng when I picked up mine, my dealer gave me a letter to sign acknowledging that they will install the heated steering wheel once it's available. So yes they will / should install them free for you, too, since it's GM controlled not dealer by dealer.

Have two on order at separate dealers - both have TPWs and neither dealer has provided any information as the orders have been changing stages...thankfully only one of them required a deposit. The dealer that took the deposit literally said, "we'll let you know when it comes in".

I've noticed hit or miss getting an event code provided. I was provided one the first time when I did Chevy Chat and I never asked. Since I have asked and have not gotten one person to tell me it....and I have a TPW of 3/28.

My dealer won't tell me anything and I have a TPW.

I don't get their strategy to be honest.

The person I spoke to at Chevy said a lot of people cancel their orders after theyve been accepted because dealers don't tell them the order was ever accepted.

Doesn’t surprise me. It’s frustrating. Seriously can’t get a straight answer out of anyone. If I didn’t put a deposit down I would just buy something else. I have always drove a truck and I see plenty of them at dealerships.
