I've decided to forego the Range DFM Module GM Refresh. Physically, I'm not able to remove it myself for trips to dealer's service department. I'll turn off auto stop each trip and will change oil between 3,000-3,500 miles.

How dumb am I being?

I would imagine, in the not so distant future, that you'll be able to turn off all these things in the tune and it would not surprise me if GM even does it themselves for you, for a price!

If you decide to leave it, it's very reliable with the right oil and clean oil.

I put the module in my 2026; but I will be doing my own maintenance.

If I was going to be bringing it in I 100% agree with you it’s a PITA to r@r so I’d probably skip it as well….. I also have a catch can I don’t want to remove for every dealer service.

My previous Tahoe was a 2015 with 175k miles and it ran fine with the AFM(never disabled). Just used full synthetic every 5k.

@Capt Ed I have a 2016 with 206K miles. AFM never disabled. The OCI is every 5K miles with Mobi1 1 and sometimes AC Delco.
