Has anyone ever had a fused door hinge come loose? My driver's door upper hinge is getting welded on Monday. It is not broke loose but has signs of a possible crack and before I install hinge pins, worn bushings, I am having it welded. Gonna do both hinges with the welding and of course both hinge pins. I was told by the fabricator that the fuse process, like gluing, is stronger than welding. Before it is asked, vehicle has not been wrecked and is just over 160k miles.
