so I have this roaring/rubbing/clunking noise from what seems like the front drivers side. I changed the hub bearing twice (once cause it needed to be done, the seconds time I suspected I got a bad bearing). Now I also have a remanufactured cv joint on there, I’m thinking that could be the source of this noise. But I’m really not sure. Any one have any clue what also could be making this noise?

I hate front end noises so much. There's so much going on there. You kinda need to narrow it down.

-Noise on bumps only? (ball joints/shocks/struts?)
-Noise on turn? (tie rod ends/pitman/idler arm?)
-Noise varies on speed? (CVs or bearings maybe?)

More information is really what you need. I'd get your truck lifted, wiggle everything you can. Bearings and ball joints are easy to identify as you can rock your wheel back and forth and if it wobbles, its bad.

Our 02 Surburban frt diff was noisy and made metal. Pull the magnetic drain plug, hold your thumb over its hole, and see if any metal is on the plug.
