Hello everyone,
My 2004 Tahoe Z71 has started making an intermittent, strange noise that seems to be coming from the under carriage towards the rear. I thought that bumps caused it, but not so sure now as it made the noise on asphalt and it lasted 20-30 seconds, but I could not pull over in time to jump out and look,
I first heard it on a bumpy gravel road. All of the sudden it made a loud clicking noise that lasted 10 seconds or so. The sound is like when we were kids and put a card on our bicycle spokes. It is a rapid , loud clicking noise and again, is intermittent and seemingly unpredictable. It does not seem associated with braking or accelerating, and in fact, When I pulled over to try and jump out and look that time, it was still doing it when I was not moving.

I have looked underneath carefully to rule out any heat shields/guards, exhaust etc, Additionally, I am convinced its not suspension related since it was still doing it when I was stopped.
Very strange and hard to explain. Any help would be appreciated.
