Floor Mat Pin for Floor Mat

I have 2017 Denali Yukon that pin in carpet that you use to hold floor mat in place has tore the carpet where pin clips in. Has this happened to anyone and is there a fix for problem

Same haopened on my 2016. Dealer removed the mats to vacuum after service work and it tore. They offered new carpet but that involves everything up front to be removed and I really do not want rattles when a bolt or screw is forgot. I just live with it.

might just use some good Velcro now. It’ll keep the corners from folding in too.

Looks like its going to take new carpet but it will probably do same thing since pin is not connected to floor in an manner just clipped to carpet so has no support to keep from tearing carpet. Seems like bad design. Thanks for all comments .
