only thing I see about it is you're only bypassing the muffler. will sound much louder but with all the stock stuff ahead of it. you won't pick up a lot of hp

Compared to a properly designed cat-back exhaust system, cut-outs are not worth much power anymore.
I could be wrong if the engine is very unusual compared to OE.

I’ve never had a flex pipe on not one of my trucks and never had no issue? Everything I get I do full exhaust too I’m talking 1 78” Longtubes no cats x pipe 3” exhaust all the way back

I agree with there's no real benefit to it if you're running cats. To be honest they just make noise if you have cats and don't really go full on race mode. Old school big block built right using cutouts off the header collector for weekends at the strip sure. Modern setup with emissions you're just pissing off the neighborhood.

I have the same question. I'd like the ability to have a stealthy stock startup, but turn it loud when i want to. I have a ppv so itd be extra cool in my opinion. I saw someone do it with an escalade https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/exhaust-cut-outs.121598/page-2 which was the closest thing to an answer i could find.

Have QTP cutouts on my 300. Love em. Loud when I want & mellow without. Longtubes & corsa sport for the rest of the exhaust
