My flasher went bad in my 99 Yukon and I bought one from Autozone.
It works but now if I have a taillight go out the indicator light does not come on.
I presume that the cheapo dose not have that safety warning that the factory one does not have?

Huh, never seen one do that before. Usually if the turn signal bulb is out it will blink rapidly.

Maybe your original one was broken all along?

That's what I'm thinking. Should blink fast, not remain lit on the dash. I think you're better off with your new flasher.
