I set the vehicle setting to leave the exterior lights on for 60 seconds after the car shuts off.
The lights don’t stay lit at all once the ignition shuts off.
any insights?

I think you make the choice and it’s saved automatically. When I do go back into the settings though. The choice is there still.

There are numerous glitches on these rigs - most of them are minor, but an annoyance nonetheless. The more options you have the more glitches you're likely to see. The one I've noticed on my base model SLE is that the dome light override switch won't stay off. We rarely use the dome lights and don't like them coming on when we get back home late and a few of the kids are asleep in their car seats. Despite turning the switch to off, there are times I'll open the door and the dome lights come on - I have to turn off the switch again. I believe the BCM goes into a "deep" sleep mode on these rigs and loses some of the user preferences - unintentionally. GM has issued a handful of OTA updates since we got our rig 7 months ago and they have TSBs out stating they are aware of some of these software issues, but a lot of them remain.

All that said, there's likely no way you or the dealer can fix this issue - it is what it is until GM issues an OTA update that properly fixes the glitch.

I have a 23 suburban too. The speed warning sign displays dashes on some parts of major roads like I95

Funny thing is. I had a 21 Tahoe that has no issues at all. Not a single programming issue. I think the google map crap screwed the 23’s up

There is no doubt that the previous architecture was tried and true as it was mature, and had fewer bugs. GM migrated to this Android based system and it definitely has bugs...and also the promise of more features, but right now the addition of features also brings new "features" that we have to live with...

Threads like this make me glad i have the lase LS trim and the old mature software system. It does all i need of it and then some as it is. Maybe in 5 years when im looking for our next vehicle for my family these bugs will be eliminated and it works splendid.

No, there will be NEW bugs then...because...agile software development has ruined the world.

I agree, I don’t see any exceptional features on the 22+ models that make me want to have it over what I have. Every upgrade I’ve received over the air has done whatever it supposed to do without screwing anything else up.
