Finally pulled the plug and ordered my HD hood today direct from GM since i work for them. Alittle nervous though since its not made for the vehicle on what i have to do to make it fit. Ive read through some of the thread and it mentions little things here and there but do you need to actually cut any part of the hook to make it work?

So what is needed to get thos to work. The only think I'm worried about is the trimming in the front. Hears you have to slot the hinges to get it to slid forward enough

I have read that you have to trim the front corners to take into account the shape of the Yukon headlamps and also read that you have to 'slot' the mounting locations to slide it forward a bit. And you get only one chance to trim the hood correctly.......I also think you have to roll the edges as well....Good Luck!
