I did a bunch of work over the winter and just now getting to drive it.
2005 Tahoe 4x4 5.3 3.42 gears and 285 wide tires.
I did the following:
BTR stage 2 truck cam, valve springs, and pushrods.
Transgo shift kit with corvette servo and aluminum accumulator.
TCI 2800 stall torque converter.
Volant tube with stock air box. Ported Throttle Body.
****** Aerochamber dumped before rear axle.

Now after all that work I'm only getting 9.9X 0-60 and 18.XX 1/4 mile.
That seems awfully slow to me. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas what I can look into.

Did you tune your engine after you were done? Also, compare the size of your old wheels/tires to the size of the new wheels/tires. If you went up even an inch, you are going to notice a loss in power -- especially if your tune does not take into account the changes you have made.

Yes, I've been street tuning it. I know the tires will slow it down some. I'm going to put the stocks back on before a test and tune soon but I was expecting 15s not 18s.

Tall tires with re gearing it will kill the performance. A real tune will help but without the right gearing it still will feel like a slug out of the hole.

Have you done the required math or are you relying on tribal knowlege for your time/distance/hp/weight/ calculations?
