The only reason i decided to start modding is because my wifes little punk ass brother thinks his 05 silverado is fast. just for him being stupid i'm going to ruin his day with his sisters ride.

He is young and doesn't know jack about cars and honestly thinks his truck is fast. It's a 05 crew cab, 5.3, He probably has 3.23 gears and 26'' rims. even thou the tahoe is a good 1000 lbs heavier, i think the 3.73's and a good tune will pull him or at least get the jump and be able to hold him off.

we shall find out next time i see him. I can bet you right now he will chicken out, lol.

I have the Volant intake, and started to throw a code a month of so after the install. I can get rid of the code with the BB tuner -- but just tell your installed buddy that there have been some code issues associated with the intake, and maybe he'll be able to avoid the condition(s). (And then you can share with the board what he did!)

I used to have a friend like that back in HS. He tried telling me once that his little Mazda pickup with a 4 banger was fast. I didn't have my own car at the time so I got my mom's bone stock 90 Caprice complete with the gutless 305 and smoked him. That Caprice was SLOW so that kinda tells ya how much he knew about cars and speed!!!

No need for that, I have already put the fear of my srt in his mind. Seriously tho, the past Easter weekend, he was trying to tell me his truck would keep up with my 300 srt8. I tried racing him on the spot. I was offering him 2 truck lengths to start, and I would still pass him by 2 more trucks, before 100 mph. He got nerves as he should have, and backed down. So I ended that conversation with, next time we see each other the Tahoe is going to ruin his day.
