Does anyone know if you can take a driver information center module from an Escalade or Denali Yukon and put it in a Tahoe? Looks like it would fit in the little cubby hole. Has anyone done it before? Just curious. Thinking about trying it.

I have an aftermarket radio so I pulled power, switch power, ground, illumination, all from it. 2 of the wires are switch power, 1 is ground, 1 is constant, 1 is illumination. Vss is tapped from the cluster and data is tapped from I believe the purple wire on the OBD 2 Connector. I will post the diagram and wire colors and when I get a chance. But here are some pictures. It fits okay. If you push in side in. It’s not perfect but it will do and works

I will post the wire colors for everything here once I gather all the information I used and even the diagram. I hope that it helps someone else on their journey. I have had it in for 2 weeks or better now and I absolutely love it.

I don't have this generation of truck but I wanted to say "thanks" for sharing this info, particularly the wiring requirements.

...Then follow that up with "You put your Esky DIC in the oversized hole of a dirty Hoe carrying drugs".

Same place I put mine today. I really want it in the overhead console where my rear a/c control is now so it's just a quick glance up to read it like the rear view mirror. And then everyone riding along can see it too63759F87-49E3-4E25-8B76-6BA581D6308E.jpeg

I'm not sure yet actually. I'm still working that out in my head among other things. What I'd really like to do is an iPad in the dash. And I mean: relocate center vent and main a/c controls to make room. So I would most likely have to mount both front and rear climate controls in a different center console. But, all of that is a maybe and way down the want list anyway
