Hello everyone, I just acquired a new to me 01 Tahoe, when leaving a stop light or slowing down I can feel a pop from the seatback, it’s not the sliding rail problem and definitely feels like the seat back, no position I move the seat in seems to alleviate this. Is there a common issue here or is mine an isolated issue?

Welcome to the forum Justin. At 19 years old I doubt yours is an isolated issue. Have you looked under the seat or checked the sides or adjusting latch for worn parts?

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who will chime in with their suggestions.

I would think that a 'pop' sound implies that some mechanical linkage has worn to the point of breakage or near breakage with lots of play that should not be there.

I haven’t had a chance to look to far into it. I’m going to tighten every bolt I can get to and see what happens. I’ll let you guys know.
