Hello there, so I've had my 2003 Tahoe for about 10 months. And recently been feeling a slight vibration when pushing the brake pedal to slow down. Feels like it pushed back my feet while I'm slowing down for a red light or stop sign. I don't see any leaks nor is the reservoir missing any brake fluid.
Any help or tips ir greatly appreciated, thank you.

Depends on the severity of the vibration a light vibration is usually warped rotors and a more severe vibration sometimes when coming to almost a complete stop is abs pulsing, sometimes followed by a strange noise from the abs pump, the latter of which is usually a lazy abs sensor or perhaps a worn hub.
but it sounds like you probably just need new brakes if you take the wheels off and feel and look at the rotors if they have any material on them or have grooves or ridges at all that is warping.

JB,
You are in need of a good wrench turner. I’m not judging (maybe a little), but it sounds like you have ZERO experience in diagnosing and correcting anything other than gas and oil levels. Save your coins, and choose wisely before you dive head first into the dark water. At the minimum, you are most likely in need of pads and rotors btw.

The ABS turned ON on my dash.

there's your sign, if you have 160k or more on it you can pretty much bet money it is the hub, but check things to be sure, you can swap the front abs sensor left/right and see if the problem follows the sensor or not, you will need a scanner that can read abs codes.

ABS turned OFF a while ago while I was driving home, but I still feel a slight vibration and then a few pulses while pressing the brake pedal at around 8MPH.

To be clear, when the ABS light is on there is a malfunction in that system. Put a capable scanner on it and read the code(s) and post them here for more suggestions.

I forgot to mention that when the ABS light was ON I didn't feel the vibration on the brake pedal. But when the light came OFF I started feeling that slight vibration once again on the brake pedal.
I'm sorry if I'm being annoying but I just wanna fix this problem myself.

When the ABS light is ON the ABS function is disabled, which is apparently why you didn't feel the vibration. You can certainly guess about a remedy, or use an advanced scanner on it to lead you in the right direction.

If you swap the front ABS sensors and the problem is on the same side both times, the problem is the hub.
If you swap the front ABS sensors and the problem changes sides, the problem is one of the sensors.

You've likely reached this forum's limit to diagnose the problem until you at least bring a trouble code.

when the abs light is on then abs is technically OFF, that's why you get the smooth brake pedal, the pulsing is caused by the abs system, it happens where there is a erratic abs signal it thinks 1 wheel is spinning slower than the other 3 wheels, so it pulses the abs pump thinking you might be skidding or spinning out, that pulsing is what you feel in the brake pedal.
you can fix it yourself with basic tools and a scanner to get you the code so you know if it is the left or right. it's 99.999999% guaranteed to be a front wheel.

My scanner only gives me a....
P0449 and P0455
If I swap the sensors how will I know if one is bad. Like what tells me it's the hub itself.

I could be way off here, but it seems that maybe you're panicking a bit, because your input is coming in spurts. If I'm right, just relax enough to organize your thoughts before you post. If I'm wrong, just ignore me. :)

FWIW, I think these guys are giving you very good feedback.

To paraphrase myself ...
If the problem is the hub, the problem will stay on the same side before and after you swap the front ABS sensors.
If the problem is one of the sensors, the problem will 'move' from one side to the other when you swap the front ABS sensors.
... just wanna fix this problem myself.
Then why ask anyone else for help?

Until you can get access to a scanner that can read ABS codes, you could put the fuse for the ABS.

that scanner should be able to read abs codes but abs is different than obd, you will have to scan it while the light is on. And/or you could bring up the abs live data and watch the sensors as you drive around and stop, one of them will be erratic/funky.
when abs does not detect a error it self clears, hence no code unless the abs light is lit up.

When I looked up that scanner on Foxwell's site, it shows that it can display the vehicle speed sensor, but I'm not sure if it will display individual wheel speed sensors. See if you can find the wheel speed sensor selections in live data, then compare them (all 4) while someone else drives.

Looking at the manual, the ABS system is not referenced, so it appears that it's a scanner for generic OBD codes only.

I have the same symptom. If I push the brake pedal sort of fast it pushes/jerks back.
I saw a YouTube video where the guy explained that the ABS is sensing a slight difference in front wheel speeds. Can be caused by sensor being slightly lifted by rust. Shows cleaning and reinstalling the tone ring sensors.
