A little more context please.

Laptop. I like to keep vehicle battery on a tender while programming. I like to power MDI from my home. Don't want to chance bricking a module.

be sure when installing the techline software run (even) the browser and all clicks will be "right" click first then select run as administrator, otherwise your going to have problems and even then set aside a couple hours to get all the software installed and updated before you can even start to program. even running as admin it may take multiple tries to get it fully installed. once the software is all installed the actual programming part goes smooth.
