DIY advice

[Hey you]

OK, I am getting ready to change plugs, wires and coils on my 2015 Tahoe, with the 5.3 motor. Its a 2wd. Plan to remove passenger front
wheel, and fender lining for access on that side. Hoping the driver side will be easier.
I am doing this as what I thought was a transmission stutter, was diagnosed as a miss fire. I intend to do the plugs/wires/coils first. If this works
great! If not it will be back to the drawing board!
Has any one done this before, and can you provide any tips that may help?

Look at this socket setup for the #8 plug on pass side rear.

@Rocket Man came up with a great way to remove it. Use a long enough deep 5/8" socket, not a spark plug socket, and a 3/8" ratchet and it works. If you have a deep 5/8" 1/4'' drive socket that you can use with a 1/4" ratchet and break loose, that works too. I have a 1/4" breaker bar to break it...

Got it done! Did the Passenger side thru the wheel well, and Driver side over the top. Seems to be running good so far.
Only issue was the plastic clips that keep electrical connector on the coils, they kept breaking off when I was releasing them.
I think it was due to heat over the years, as they were very brittle. I have not heard of the connectors coming off, but may
add a ziptie to help keep them secured.
Picked up an Ancel scan tool will get some readings from that and hope the miss fire is history!
