Is there a resource or post somewhere laying out the changes or fixes by year?

Specifically I'd like to know what they fixed or changed between the Denali 15 and 16, thanks in advance!

Agree with above.

Any 2015 Denali with a 6 speed are early 2015’s. Any 2015 Denali with the 8 speed is considered a 2015.5 since the 8 speed was introduced mid 2015 model year. I’m not 100% but I believe the 2016 model year was the first production year they reduced the power train warranty from 5 year/100K down down to something less. Then in 2018 they change the front grille and added the 10 speed. There may be other MY changes others will chime in on but those are the major ones to the best of my knowledge.

16 or 17 added HDMI ports for the rear entertainment system I believe.

2015-16 had air conditioned seats. 2017 on has only "vented seats".

It's the same thing they just changed the wording because people were expecting actual air conditioned seats and not understanding the air inside the truck has to cool down before the air coming through the seat can cool down.

Yeah, not so sure about it being "the same". The design did change substantially between 16 and 17. My current 19 is the same as 17 and on. The ventilation is much less robust in the newer models and although at this point I can't be certain that there was no AC ducting to the seat it sure felt cooler, but maybe due to substantially less air volume.

This is true. The earlier ones, like the GMT900 had a TED that DID cool the seats in the unit itself. Current flowed over an element in one direction making heat, and reverse flow to pull heat out if the element making cool air. On a 100 degree day, with JUST the seat cooler on with engine off, the seats blow cool air. Maybe they changed something over the years or on the K2 plafltform.

Good info! That might also explain why the heating function in the seats was only so-so. On my 2019 the heated seats will fry your ass!

This is the info I’m looking for. Anything else? I read about massaging seats when did they appear? I had a ‘15 SLT and ‘16 Denali and looking to get back in another Denali. I’ll consider older ones if I won’t be missing out on new features.

2015 Yukons have a fuel filler cap. I believe starting in 2016 this design was updated to be cap less.

I have an early 15 and it does not have wireless charging or hands free lift gate.
